Q. What do you love about your profession?
A. Every day is an opportunity to help a client or company add value to their current HR/Payroll/Workforce situation or help them solve problems they didn’t even know they had. Also the relationships you build with your clients are truly to second to none.
Q. How did you choose that profession?
A. Working with local businesses and helping them find solutions for their workforce woes, has become a new passion of mine and one I am happy to work with on a daily basis. That being said, I wanted to stay local and be part of an organization that is committed to giving back to Northern Nevada and helping grow our local businesses in our changing economy.
Q. What’s your favorite (memory) from your Undergrad?
A. I was honored to be part of two excellent undergraduate organizations: Delta Sigma Pi, the professional business fraternity on campus and the Nevada Sagebrush, the school’s student-run newspaper. I served as Editor-In-Chief for the newspaper and also in a multitude of roles for DSP. I also spent a month abroad in London as part of the College of Business’ Global Exchange program. While it is hard for me to nail down one experience, I definitely came out feeling extremely proud of my decision to spend my collegiate years at the University of Nevada.
Q. What made you decide to be a COBAA Member?
A. I have always been proud to give back to the university and joining COBAA was a no-brainer! Not only do you extend your professional connections, but it also provides a link to undergraduates who are trying to navigate the transition from graduation to their careers.
Q. Tell us about life after college:
A. Prior to my time with TAC, I worked for three seasons in a sales/marketing capacity for the Reno Bighorns, the NBA’s Sacramento Kings’ G League affiliate. I have also worked as an account executive for KTVN 2 News, as a freelance sportswriter for the Reno Gazette-Journal, Las Vegas Review-Journal, NBA.com, and a smattering of other magazines. In addition to COBAA, I’m also a board member for the Nevada Sagebrush alumni chapter, the Reno Riverwalk Merchants Association, and My Hometown Heroes which is a local non-profit.
