Keenan Polan (Business Management ’11)

Name: Keenan Polan
Profession/Title: Sports Executive/Director of Sales
Company: Barracuda Championship
Experience: 5+ years in sports
Degree/Year: BA, Business Management, 2011

Q. What do you love about your profession?

A. I love sports and meeting and connecting with new people. Sales allow you to create and build a lot of relationships and a strong network so marrying sales and sports is a perfect fit for me.

Q. How did you choose that profession?

A. I am a sports junkie and have been interested in sports since I was a little kid. Working in sports had always been a dream and I found a way to work in an industry I love while helping people and companies.

Q. What’s your favorite (memory) from your Undergrad?

A. Creating lifelong friendships with people I met during college is the best takeaway from my time at Nevada. Watching the Pack beat Boise at Mackey in 2010 was my single favorite memory during my time on campus.

Q. What made you decide to be a COBAA Member?

A. I wanted to join an organization that gives back to the college and university that where I built my foundation. In my opinion, networking is the most important thing students can do while in college. COBAA supports students and connects them with local business and community leaders.
Q. Tell us about life after college:

A. I worked for the Reno Bighorns for 5 years and gained invaluable experience in both business and life. During that time I met my wife, Ashley, and we were married in September 2017. After leaving the Bighorns, my business partner and I started Powerhouse Consulting, a sales and investor relations company. In July 2018, I took over as Director of Sales for the Barracuda Championship. I am loving my new role, get to work with an amazing team and have the opportunity to help companies grow their business through the game of golf and the PGA Tour. Ashley and I have two dogs, we enjoy playing golf, hiking and traveling. Go Pack!
